Description of work and role of partners
Description of work
The work will be organized in 6 tasks with contributions from the participants, and interaction with the advisory board and other WPs, notably WP8 and WP11.
Task 6.1 Interaction with GMES (and GISC) and EuroGOOS
This task will present FixO3 to GMES and EuroGOOS and make sure integration into their long-term plans for sustained operation.
Task 6.2 Promotion of FixO3 in the context of ESFRI and relevant initiatives
INGV (Lead); UiB, NIOZ and AWI
The objective of the task is to achieve recogniton of FixO3 time series in ESFRI initiatives such as EMSO, EPOS, ICOS, Lifewatch and EMBRC as well as related initiatives on a regional or national level.
Foreseen activities include presentation of various aspects including results of FixO3 observations to relevant infrastructure initiatives followed by consideration of inclusion or various means of collaboration and linkages. The strategy is to keep an open mind towards future organizational outcome. Selected FixO3 time series may be integrated in relevant infrastructure initiatives, whereas other time series link up in other ways.
Task 6.3 Contribution to GEO and GEOSS

This task will ensure recognition by interacting with working groups.
Task 6.4 Links with EU Directorates, Maritime Policy and Marine Board
This task will interact with DG Capacities, Mare, Environment and Research and Innovation, EU Maritime Policy and the Marine Board for inclusion in further planning and use.
Task 6.5 Links with conventions, networks and assessments
UiB (Lead); AWI, NIOZ and UAzores
This task will develop links to OSPAR, Euromarine and IPBES and contribute to European and global assessments including ecosystem assessments, IPCC, UN Regular Process.
Task 6.6 Cost-benefit analysis
NERC (Lead); IFM-GEOMAR
This task will conduct a cost-benefit analysis with justification of Eulerian observations.
